This is a systems-focused chess prototype built to explore modular gameplay mods that change how traditional chess behaves. 

The project is primarily being developed as a portfolio piece and experimental design sandbox. The main goal is to explore how rule changes, hidden information, and gameplay mods interact within a familiar strategy game. 

Current development is focused on expanding the mod system, improving gameplay clarity, and testing interesting interactions between mechanics. 

While this is not currently planned as a full commercial project, feedback is being actively collected and will help determine whether additional development is worthwhile. If players find the concept compelling, further expansion may be considered. 

The project should be viewed as an experimental prototype rather than a finished product. The emphasis on gameplay systems, iteration, and learning rather than presentation polish.

  • Double movement can allow re-selection of the previous piece
